Harold Edwin Wages, age 70 of Winder, lost a long and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, June 5, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, with Rev. John King officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Harold was born in Fulton County and grew up in the Fence Community of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Harold attended Dacula High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for many auto dealerships throughout metro Atlanta as an auto mechanic and air conditioning technician. He retired from U.S. Auto Sales, Lawrenceville, in 2001. Harold enjoyed auto racing and camping. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bessie (Montgomery) Wages, grandson, Brandon Gray Shubert, and nephew, Scott Butler. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann Wages; Daughter and Son-in-law: Tracy and Eric Sorenson; Grandchildren: Brittany Shubert, Brian Sorenson, and Megan Sorenson; Sister and Brother-in-law: Ouida and Dallas Butler; Brother and Sister-in-law: Tom and Diane Fleeman; Niece: Sheri Briggs; Nephew: Kirk Fleeman.
