Esther Kay Bruce, 78, of Grayson, Georgia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully at her home on June 6, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Bruce; son and daughter-in-law Marshall and Alisa Bruce, daughter and son-in-law Jamie and Dan Arsenault, daughter Lisa Bruce, son and daughter-in-law David and Beverley Bruce, son and daughter-in-law Eric and Betsy Bruce; grandchildren Anne Miller, John Arsenault, Julie Arsenault, David Arsenault, Leslie Arsenault, Sydney Bruce, Bobby Bruce, Victoria Bruce, Zachary Bruce, Savannah Bruce, and Tucker Bruce; great-grandchildren Eva Miller, Esther Miller, Eliana Miller, Jack Arsenault, Josie Arsenault, and Avery Arsenault; sisters Allene Gallagher, Mary Fugate; brothers Jim Hanna and Tom Hanna. She is preceded in death by her brothers Bob and Mark Hanna. Kay was known for her loving hospitality and generous spirit. She happily entertained and fed missionaries, servicemen, and friends in her home. Kay was an active member of Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia for 28 years. Berean Baptist Church in Lilburn, Georgia was her latest church home. Kay also loved to travel the world in addition to spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kay Bruce was born and raised in Pennsylvania and lived in Florida for thirteen years before moving to Georgia in 1970. She followed Penn State football and was an avid Braves fan. The Service Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Bruce will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00AM at Berean Baptist Church with Rev. Danny M. Sweatt officiating. Interment Carter's Memorial Gardens, Loganville, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
