DULUTH -- Registration for the second session of New Dawn Theater Company's summer drama camp for kids is open through Tuesday.
The camp, a first for New Dawn, will be facilitated by members of the theater's group's board of directors, and campers will be introduced to the various elements of theatrical productions, including set design, costuming and makeup.
"We're going to be teaching kids how to prepare for an audition, how to build a character, how to build a resume to take to an audition," said Sherry Ingbritsen, president and artistic director for New Dawn. "It's going to be very interactive with the kids."
Camp sessions, for children age 6 and older, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays from June 14 through 25 and will culminate in a formal performance of two short one-act plays, one for younger children and another for older campers.
Camp is $250 per camper.
