STONE MOUNTAIN -- A Stone Mountain man is now in jail after police say he had sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl he had been seducing across state lines for months.

Gwinnett County police responded to the Major Court home of 39-year-old Roger Dale Adkins on Saturday evening, finding him there with a middle school student from Tennessee.

According to the police report, a member of a Florida police department had contacted GCPD, telling them that Adkins had been "contacting the juvenile through the Internet and text messages for a couple of months."

Adkins, listed as a Wal-Mart employee on jail records, was booked Saturday and charged with statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes. He is being held with no bond.

The victim was released to her mother, police said.
