SUWANEE -- Local students will be performing care-free Broadway musicals in Suwanee this weekend, as Suwanee Performing Arts hosts Broadway in the Park at Town Center Park.
On Friday and Saturday, more than 50 students will star in their renditions of the classic "Footloose" musical and the "rockin' '80s musical" dubbed "Fancy Free."
Beginning at 7 p.m. each night, performances may be watched for free. Reserved amphitheater seating is also available, with eight-person tables available for $90 and half tables for $45.
To reserve a table, call 678-910-7184.
Show-goers are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and snacks, but no alcohol will be permitted.
These shows serve as the primary summer fundraiser for Suwanee Performing Arts, a non-profit "dedicated to enriching the community by bringing opportunities for participation in and appreciation of the performing arts."
