Jeff Richardson, age 50, of Grayson, Georgia, entered into rest on Saturday, July 17, 2010 surrounded by his devoted family after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Melanie Richardson; 3 sons, Stephen Richardson, of Suwanee, GA, Josh Richardson, of Grayson, GA, Brandon Pressley of Mooresville, NC; mother, Mrs. Edna Britt Richardson of Snellville, GA; two sisters & brothers-in-law, Tina and Brian Ford of Snellville, GA, Kathy and Bill Pembroke of Waterloo, Belgium; brother & sister-in-law, Allen and Lynn Richardson of Monroe, GA; brother and his partner, Lyndon Richardson and Chris Idema of Bakersfield, CA; sister-in-law, Stacie King (Sam), of Buford; brother-in-law, Alan Maughon (Jennifer), of Loganville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tommy and Carole Maughon, of Buckhead, GA; many nieces and nephews; his devoted Yorkie companions, “T-Bone” and “Lilly Mae”; and his dog “Samson” and feline friends, “Peanut,” “Batman,” and “Termite.” Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Stiles Allen Richardson. Jeff was born in Lawrenceville, GA on March 7, 1960 to Edna Britt Richardson and Stiles Allen Richardson. He graduated from South Gwinnett High School. He worked as an Outside Parts salesman for over 30 years with Mack Trucks and Peach State Ford. He was a member of the Sanctuary Baptist Church and was raised growing up at Bethany Baptist Church. Jeff was a die-hard Georgia Tech fan and he was active in Relay for Life with his family. He was a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew this wonderful man. The Service Celebrating the Life of Jeff Richardson will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Pastor Rodney Hall and lifelong friend, Wayne Bias officiating. Interment Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Relay for Life in memory of Jeff Richardson.
