LAWRENCEVILLE — The latest installment of Gwinnett Medical Center and Partnership Gwinnett’s quarterly health council series will focus on sports medicine.
The event will “address the various services and programs offered by Gwinnett Medical Center’s sports medicine team of orthopedic surgeons, certified athletic trainers, imaging specialists, surgical and rehabilitation specialists,” spokeswoman Andrea Wehrmann said. The event will be held at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 5 at Georgia Gwinnett College. A panel of specialists will focus on heat illness, concussions, sprains, strains and fractures. “Health care and the life sciences are key industry focuses for our economic development efforts through Partnership Gwinnett,” said Nick Masino, the vice president of economic development and Partnership Gwinnett. “Collaborating with Gwinnett Medical Center to deliver solid programs and create a strong foundation and network of existing industry in this area is imperative and we’re thrilled to be working together.”More like this story
