Calling all job seekers.
About 35 employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to those seeking employment will be on hand today in Norcross for CareerFest 2010 and a coinciding job fair.
The Georgia Department of Labor's Gwinnett Career Center has partnered with the First United Methodist Church of Norcross and the Norcross Cooperative Ministry to sponsor the annual CareerFest, now in its fourth year, where prospective employees can take advantage of seminars on resume writing and other services available to job seekers.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Norcross First UMC, which is located at 2500 Beaver Ruin Road.
Some employers who will be on hand will be hiring, while others will be discussing possible future employment opportunities.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring a number of resumes and be prepared to complete applications and interviews on site for available job openings.
Businesses and organizations expected to participate in the job fair include AFLAC, Advantage Staffing, Brenau University, Gwinnett Police Department, Perimeter Staffing, The IMPACT! Group and others.
