LAWRENCEVILLE — Both of Gwinnett Medical Center’s campuses have been named to the Georgia Hospital Association’s quality honor roll.
Based on data from 2009, GMC’s Duluth and Lawrenceville facilities were among 51 state hospitals placed in the presidential category, one of the highest on the list. “It is our mission to ensure that each of our patients receives the right care at the right time and this recognition validates this,” GMC president and CEO Philip Wolfe said. “This honor is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our staff who are constantly working to make excellent care even better.” Criteria were met by data collected by the federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services. Guidelines were based on an acute care hospital’s adherence to measures that make sure patients who have suffered heart attacks, heart failure or pneumonia receive the right care at the right time. Snellville’s Eastside Medical Center also announced its placement on GHA’s quality honor roll in recent weeks.More like this story
