Cameron Lynch has aspirations to work in the airline industry as an engineer one day and plans to use his football talents to get him there.
The rising Brookwood senior committed to Syracuse University over the weekend where plans to major in mechanical engineering.
"I went up there and I felt the love as soon as I got off the plane," Lynch said. "I saw the Carrier Dome, meet the people and I loved it."
Lynch, who maintains a 3.67 GPA, has offers from some of the top academic schools in the country such as Air Force and Harvard. He chose the Orange over SEC school Vanderbilt.
"I know there will be some more offers that will come in, but this is something I wanted to go ahead and take care of and get out of the way."
Syracuse, which was 4-8 last season and plays in the Big East, has produced NFL stars Donovan McNabb, Marvin Harrison and Dwight Freeney.
Lynch led the county in tackles last season with 135 from his outside linebacker position and also had 41/2 sacks.
He's the third Bronco to commit to a college program this summer, joining receiver Andre Sims (Michigan State) and offensive lineman Blake Fussell (Air Force).
