Norcross festival celebrates the tastes and sounds of summer

Norcross will celebrate blues music and blueberries during an event Saturday.

The Bluesberry Festival, coinciding with the blueberry growing season, will combine the blues tunes of local bands with the taste of freshly plucked, locally grown berries.

Blueberries will be available for purchase from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, with music continuing until 1 a.m. throughout downtown Norcross. The band Little Brothers Blues will perform at 45 South Cafe, with bands Harpalicious and Pocket Mafia playing at Iron Horse Tavern. A fourth blues group will perform at Mojitos, where blueberry mojitos will likely be served. Other restaurants will offer chef specials made with blueberries as well.
