NORCROSS -- A Norcross man spent time in jail last week after falsely reporting that his ex-girlfriend's new beau had "a meth lab in the house and let the children take it," police said.
According to a police report, Jason George Beale, 27, reported to the Division of Family and Children Services on July 1, stating that his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend "had drugs in the house" and that a child had taken some.
He also claimed that the boyfriend "had a lot of guns in the house and ... was very violent."
Gwinnett County police and a DFCS social worker went to the home on the 5600 block of Cobb Meadow Drive, leading to Beale's arrest for the false report of a crime.
Beale was released on $3,700 bond.
