NORCROSS -- Four people were displaced when a kitchen fire heavily damaged their single-wide home Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to the 4400 block of Buford Highway at about 12:13 p.m. to find the center of the trailer "well-involved," said Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt.Thomas Rutledge.
One man was home at the time of the fire and escaped without injury.
Rutledge said the blaze appears to have started in the kitchen, caused by food left unattended on the stove.
The Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the occupants.
