Dennis Vincent Doerr, age 53, died January 20, 2010 of a massive heart attack at his home in Auburn, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2010 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth. He is preceded in death by his father, Vincent John Doerr. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janie Doerr; son, Jason Dennis Doerr, Sr.; his mother, Ellen Craft Doerr; brother, Vince Doerr; sister, Sharon and brother -in-law, David Warren; five grandchildren. He is further survived by his nieces & nephews, extended family, and many friends. Dennis was a self-employed painter after retiring from Northern Telecom/Nortel with 23 years of service. He enjoyed riding his Harley and playing poker with friends. He will truly be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the Haitian Relief Fund, PO Box 674, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30045. 770-962-3100.
