SUWANEE -- The Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is currently accepting applications for its inaugural class of pharmacy doctorate students.
The college's new School of Pharmacy is slated to open in August, pending attainment of precandidate status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Officials anticipate accepting 75 students in the first class.
Qualified students may be admitted into the program before receiving a bachelor's degree, according to the school's Web site. Applicants, however, must have completed at least eight semester hours each of General Chemistry I and II with laboratory, Organic Chemistry I and II with laboratory, General Biology I and II with laboratory and four credit hours of physics with laboratory, along with other course requirements.

The Georgia campus, located in Suwanee, houses Gwinnett's only medical college.
