Police make prostitution bust in Norcross hotel

NORCROSS -- Police say a Buford woman was caught using an extended stay hotel on Jimmy Carter Boulevard to lure customers for sexual services.

Jeanette Jaquez is charged with prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution and possession of marijuana in the Tuesday arrest.

Vice investigators with the Gwinnett County Police Department caught wind Jaquez was soliciting her services in the Norcross area and scheduled an appointment with her Tuesday, said department spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli.

She directed the officer to a hotel at 7049 Jimmy Carter Blvd. near Norcross. Once inside the room, she agreed to sex for a price and offered to smoke marijuana beforehand, Schiralli said.

"The officer requested they wait until after," Schiralli said.

Before anything transpired, Jaquez was arrested without incident and transported to the Gwinnett County Jail, Schiralli said.

She remained incarcerated Thursday on $2,600 bond.
