SNELLVILLE -- Meadowcreek topped Brookwood 83-62 on Tuesday in a Region 8-AAAAA game.
John Ruff scored 21 to lead Meadowcreek (10-3, 4-1) while Lavon Hooks added 15 points with eight rebounds.
Taylor Mann of Brookwood led all players with 24 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Grayson 59, Berkmar 53
LILBURN -- Grayson improved to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in Region 8-AAAAA on Tuesday night with a 59-53 win over Berkmar.
Leading scorer for Grayson was Javarris Smith with 19 points while Andrew Osemhen added 10 points.
Shiloh 67, Dacula 57
DACULA -- Three Shiloh players scored in double digits, led by 16 points from Jordan Gaither, as the Generals got past Dacula 67-57 on Tuesday in Region 8-AAAAA.
Julian White added 12 points for Shiloh (67-57) while Tashaun Juncke finished with 10 points.
Collins Hill 72, South Forsyth 30
CUMMING -- Saah Nimley finished with 22 points on Tuesday as Collins Hill cruised to a 72-30 win over South Forsyth in Region 7-AAAAA.
J.C. Bonny added 11 points for Collins Hill (10-4, 5-2) while Linus Igbokwe chipped in with 10 points.
North 64, North Forsyth 43
CUMMING -- Alex Tiller score 16 points while Conner Day added 12 points as North Gwinnett topped North Forsyth 64-43 in Region 7-AAAAA.
The win improved the Bulldogs to 7-6 overall and 4-3 in the region.
John's Creek 62, Archer 58
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Archer fell to 6-7 on Tuesday as John's Creek slipped past the Tigers 62-58.
Leading scorers for Archer were Danesh Brown with 19 points and Brian Hamlet with 15 points.
Buford 48, Westminster 40
BUFORD -- Kyle Kellam scored five of his team-high 12 points in overtime to help lift Buford to a 48-40 win over Westminster on Tuesday in a Region 6-AA game.
T.J. Shipes added 13 boards with 11 points as Buford improved to 4-5 overall and 2-0 in the region.
GAC 81, Avondale 56
AVONDALE ESTATES -- Malcolm Brogdon scored 27 points while Trent Wiedeman added 21 more as Greater Atlanta Christian eased past Avondale 81-56 on Tuesday night in Region 6-AA play.
Elliott Long also scored 14 for the Spartans (11-1, 3-0).
Wesleyan 58, Paideia 46
ATLANTA -- Wesleyan stayed unbeaten in Region 7-A at 4-0 on Tuesday with a 58-46 win over Paideia.
Andrew Frerking scored 21 to lead Wesleyan (10-4 overall) while Ty Teague added 11 points.
Athens Christian 97, Hebron 57
DACULA -- Hebron's Trey Saxon scored 19 points on Tuesday night while Kyle Johnson added 10 points but it wasn't enough as Athens Christian downed the Lions 97-57 in Region 8-A.
The loss dropped Hebron to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in the region.
Old Suwanee 48, Youth 35
SUWANEE -- Old Suwanee improved to 6-3 on Tuesday with a 48-35 win over Youth Christian.
Scotty Robbins led Old Suwanee with 19 points while Devante Davis added 14 rebounds and nine points. Youth was led by a game-high 20 points from Justin McCurdy.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Parkview 58, South 30
LILBURN -- Parkview stayed unbeaten at 12-0 on Tuesday with a 58-30 win over South Gwinnett in Region 8-AAAAA.
Lauren Coleman led the Panthers (4-0 in region) with 16 points while Katie Carroll scored 12 with Enjoli Johnson finishing with 10 points.
Freddie Banks scored 17 to lead Meadowcreek.
Brookwood 72, Meadowcreek 40
SNELLVILLE -- Katie Mallow poured in 28 points on Tuesday, guiding Brookwood to a 72-40 win over Meadowcreek in Region 8-AAAAA.
Rebecca Walker grabbed 12 rebounds.
Grayson 55, Berkmar 47
LILBURN -- Taren White scored 27 points on Tuesday night to help give Grayson a 55-47 win over Berkmar in Region 8-AAAAA.
Lauren Ball added seven points and seven rebounds as Grayson upped its record to 6-7 overall and 2-2 in the region.
Central 42, North Oconee 34
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Bri Hampton scored 16 points on Tuesday night to lead Central Gwinnett to a 42-34 win over North Oconee.
Central (5-6) pulled away in the second half by hitting 12 of 14 free throws in the final two periods while Nia Hardy, Lexus Travis and Shantaja Latimore led the defensive attack inside.
Shiloh 64, Dacula 55
DACULA -- Tajshiana Westbrooks scored 17 points while Sherry Mujkanovic added 12 more on Tuesday to help give Shiloh a 64-55 win over Dacula in Region 8-AAAAA action.
Alyssa Aitken added 11 points with eight rebounds as Shiloh improved to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the region.
Dacula (3-10, 1-4) was led by a game-high 26 points from China Vinson while Kelsey Hutchins finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Mill Creek 49, Peachtree Ridge 30
HOSCHTON -- Moneshia Simmons led all scorers with 16 points and 11 rebounds on Tuesday as Mill Creek topped Peachtree Ridge 49-30 in Region 7-AAAAA action.
Tamarr Williams added 10 points for the Hawks (10-3, 6-1) while Alicia Brookins helped with 10 points, nine boards and six steals.
Gabby Cole scored nine points to led Peachtree Ridge.
John's Creek 50, Archer 34
LAWRENCEVILLE -- John's Creek topped Archer 50-34 on Tuesday night.
Archer (3-10) was led by 11 points from Janetta Felton and seven points from Marissa Jordan.
Jefferson 55, Mt. View 37
JEFFERSON -- Despite a double-double from Ivey Franklin with 10 points and 10 rebounds, Mountain View fell 55-37 to Jefferson on Tuesday.
Emery Buckner led the Bears (4-8) in scoring with 12 points.
GAC 69, Avondale 11
AVONDALE ESTATES -- Christine Young and Kristina Nelson scored 12 points each on Tuesday as Greater Atlanta Christian routed Avondale 69-11.
The win improved to Spartans to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in Region 6-AA.
Buford 63, Westminster 35
BUFORD -- Buford's Andraya Carter led all players with 27 points Tuesday in leading the Wolves to a 63-35 win over Westminster in Region 6-AA.
The win extended Buford's record to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in the region.
North 69, North Forsyth 59
CUMMING -- Four North Gwinnett players scored in double digits on Tuesday as the Bulldogs posted a 69-59 win over North Forsyth (6-6, 3-4) in a Region 7-AAAAA game.
Leading the Bulldogs (9-4, 3-4) were Abby Slocomb with 17 points, Shea Fleetwood with 16, Stephanie Wheeler with 13 and Annie Wheeler with 11.
Hebron 48, Athens Christian 47
DACULA -- Jalisa Tucker finished with 14 points and six rebounds Tuesday to help Hebron come from behind to beat Athens Christian 48-47 in a Region 8-A contest.
Tai Stringer added 10 points and four rebounds for Hebron (8-4, 3-1).
Wesleyan 60, Paideia 34
ATLANTA -- Wesleyan received 14 points from Kennington Groff on Tuesday night as the Wolves upended Paideia 60-34 in Region 7-A.
Holli Wilkins and Grace Leach Baughn each added 12 points for Wesleyan (10-3, 2-0).
Eagle's Landing 53, Providence 40
LILBURN -- Providence fell to 0-2 in Region 5-A on Tuesday with a 53-40 loss to Eagle's Landing.
Erica Gotfredson accounted for over half of Providence's offense with 21 points.
Old Suwanee 36, Youth 18
SUWANEE -- Amber Terrell tallied 18 points and nine rebounds Tuesday in leading Old Suwanee Christian 36-18 over Youth Christian.
Mary Beth Boatright added 15 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals for Old Suwanee (3-6).
WRESTLING
Berkmar splits pair of duals
GAINESVILLE -- Berkmar defeated North Hall 37-33 but fell to Lambert 48-30 on Tuesday night at North Hall.
Going 2-0 on the night for the Patriots were Enrique Martinez (135 pounds), Viktor Cheban (189) and Attila Lolic (285).
Mt. View downs Norcross
NORCROSS -- Nine Mountain View wrestlers won by pinfall Tuesday as the Bears defeated Norcross 60-18.
Pinfall winners for Mountain View were Kenny Cook, Kevin Truglio, Dallas Brown, Rashard Brown, Josh Kemper, Drake King, Radu Rascot, Jake Gandara and Zonta Laney.
