LETTERS: Carter not fooling anybody with apology

How appropriate and heart-warming is the news that Jimmy Carter has asked the Jewish people to forgive him for his past decades of anti-Semitic actions regarding the Palestine situation? Jimmy's grandson, Jason Carter, is quick to point out that "Grandpa's" apology has absolutely nothing to do with Jason's plan to seek election for a soon-to-be-vacated Georgia Senate seat.

This northeast Atlanta district just happens to have a very strong Jewish population. Come on Jimmy, how long do you intend to juggle your "has-been politics?" While you are at it, how about a letter of apology to the people of Georgia for your embarrassing comments and actions for the past three decades?
