LAWRENCEVILLE -- Before it comes into town in February, the circus is dispatching its ambassadors.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's official envoys promoting laughter and fun will make appearances at two library branches this week, about a month ahead of the touring circus show Zing Zang Zoom, which will roll into Atlanta's Philips Arena mid-February.
Gwinnett children can learn just what it takes to soar high above audiences on a flying trapeze or the ingredients found in the cream pies clowns fling at one another from the clowns themselves.
Two events featuring the Ambassadors of Laughter are planned. The first, at the Collins Hill library branch, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the second event at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Five forks Trickum location.
Those who attend the library events will receive a voucher good for a free child's ticket when the circus comes to town in February.
