Gerald A. and Joyce Huff Cowan of Loganville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Feb. 15, 1960, in Avondale. Gerald is a retired crane operator and Joyce is retired after 24 years from Scientific Atlanta. The couple has four children: Edie Langston, married to Tom Langston, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Cindy Bertoia, married to Frank Bertoia, of Lawrenceville, Debbie Wilkerson of Loganville, and Gina Magera, married to Milan Magera of Loganville. They have 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The couple celebrated with an open house reception on Valentine's Day given by their children at the Cowan's home.
