LAWRENCEVILLE -- Officials said a small fire Tuesday evening at the Dolco Packaging Co. was contained to the machine where it originated.
Firefighters responded to the plant at 252 Hosea Road at about 8:25 p.m. to find that a machine used to chop scrap material had caught fire, forcing employees to evacuate the building.
Gwinnett County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge said crews were able to extinguish the fire immediately.
Two employees, Rutledge said, were taken to the hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.
