Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Blair Griffin of Alpharetta announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Blair Griffin of Atlanta to Robert Graham Butler of Lilburn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gaddy Butler of Lilburn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Raymond Griffin of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mrs. Cleveland James Perkins of Alpharetta and the late Brig. Gen. Perkins. She is a 2003 graduate of Walton High School and a 2007 graduate of Furman University, where she received a bachelor's degree in English. She is pursuing a master's degree in library and information studies from the University of Alabama. She is employed with JLH Consulting as an account executive.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Butler Sr. of Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. James Ridley Parrish of Winder. He is a 2002 graduate of Parkview High School and a 2006 graduate of Auburn University, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance. He is pursuing a master's degree in business administration from Auburn University. He is employed by Auburn University as a graduate assistant.
The wedding is planned for May 15 at Oak Grove Methodist Church in Decatur.
