No injuries in car fire
LAWRENCEVILLE — Gwinnett County firefighters made quick work of a car fire at a Lawrenceville home Tuesday night. Firefighters responded to the scene on the 600 block of Dovie Place just after 8 p.m., finding the car ablaze inside the home’s garage, spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said. Battling the heavy smoke, the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The blaze caused extensive damage to the vehicle and contents in the garage, Rutledge said. The fire was determined to be caused by a “box containing improperly discarded fireplace ashes,” Rutledge said. No injuries were reported.More like this story
