SNELLVILLE — Snellville City Council unanimously agreed Wednesday to offer to buy 10.7 acres of foreclosed property on Wisteria Drive for nearly $700,000.
The property is owned by Synovus, and if the bank accepts the deal, the city will agree to waive $11,000 in back-owed city taxes, City Manager Russell Treadway said. Treadway said the site is a critical piece of property for the city’s town center visioning and master planning. The council’s vote took place during a specially called meeting.More like this story
