Gwinnett Daily Post
I am writing about the matter of the special election in March to elect a new chair of the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners after former Chairman Charles Bannister’s resignation as a result of the special grand jury investigation.
I was wondering what prerequisites the Gwinnett voters should use in determining which candidates running should really be considered “qualified?” Well, I have one question for anyone who intends to seize this apparent opportunity of running Gwinnett County. How were you all supporting the removal of Bannister for his mismanagement of Gwinnett before the grand jury rendered that point moot? Oh, I hope every resident of Gwinnett reads the 30-plus pages of the special grand jury’s report and then votes considering the prospects. — Randolph W.
