SUWANEE — The fourth cohort of Gwinnett County Public Schools’ aspiring principal program graduated Thursday from the yearlong academy.

During its monthly work session, the Gwinnett County Board of Education honored the 21 graduates of the Quality-Plus Leader Academy, which was established to prepare future principals for Gwinnett County, readying them to lead 21st century schools focused on pursuing improvement and raising achievement.

“We recognize the magnitude of the investment that you’ve deposited into our leadership development,” said Sheila McCain, one of the graduates and an assistant principal at Twin Rivers Middle School. “In Gwinnett County Public Schools, things always get better, we always improve, because we are committed to excellence. Knowing that everything rises and falls on leadership, we will do everything in our power to make sure your investment yields a high return in student achievement.”

The 2010 graduates are:

• Sebastian “Shon” Davis, principal of Alford Elementary

• Christine Knox, principal of Head Elementary
