LAWRENCEVILLE — Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department deputies will be volunteering Friday to collect new, unwrapped toys or cash for the annual Toys for Tots initiative, officials said.
Several off-duty deputies will collect donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville. All toys and cash donations will be turned over to the Atlanta chapter of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. “The deputies are off-duty and are donating their time to help with this cause,” said Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais. Cash or check donations are also being accepted at the Gwinnett County Jail until Friday. (All checks should be made out to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
