Laura Jean Watt Whiting, 65, of Duluth, GA, died December 3, 2010. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6th, at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 5th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Whiting, a native of Albany, GA, was a teacher for over 20 years in both Dougherty County and Gwinnett County. She loved the Lord, and over the years she worshiped at First United Methodist Church in Albany, GA; Peachtree Corners Baptist Church in, Norcross, GA, Hope Community Church in Charlotte, NC; and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta. Preceded in death by her parents, Rochester (B.W.) Watt and Bronice Sloan Watt and brother, Charles Wilson Watt, she is survived by her daughter, Julia Suzanne Osborn of Sandy Springs, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David Christopher Osborn and Wendy Ward Osborn of Charlotte, NC; and three grandchildren, Savannah, Sarah Kate, and Ella.
