PREP ROUDUP: Mill Creek remains perfect

HOSCHTON — Mill Creek took a 15-3 win over Norcross in four innings on Thursday.

Tori Mitchell (2-0) registered the win and gave up three runs and two hits. Offensively, Brittany Bass was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, Lauren Bennett was 2-for-3 with three runs, and Chandler Griffin went 1-for-2 with two RBIs for Mill Creek (7-0, 4-0).


Dacula 6, Grayson 5

DACULA — Jenny Willis earned the win on the mound for Dacula as the Falcons defeated Grayson 6-5 on Thursday.

Brittany Taylor was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Jenny Willis went 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Katie McMillian went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Dacula (4-2, 2-0).

Providence 13, Holy Innocents’ 1

LILBURN — Kylie Kleinschmidt pitched a one-hitter, allowed no earned runs and struck out five batters to help Providence take a 13-1 victory in four innings on Thursday.

Offensively, Kleinschmidt was 2-for-3 with an RBI triple, while Brittany Tuttle went 2-for-2 with three runs. Lauren Eggert had a double, three RBIs and three runs, while Mackenzie Tuttle had a hit and three RBIs for Providence (7-3-1, 2-0).

Archer 15, Hebron 13

LAWRENCEVILLE — Lynsey Folkerts went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs to help Archer take a 15-13 win over Hebron on Thursday.

Nicole Roberts went 4-for-5 with four runs and Alliyah Williams went 3-for-3 with four runs, three doubles and three RBIs for Archer. Williams registered the win on the mound after throwing 21⁄3 innings for the Tigers (6-1).

Wesleyan 4, Galloway 1

NORCROSS — Wesleyan defeated Galloway 4-1 on Thursday.

Brittany Mitchell struck out eight batters in seven innings to earn the win, while Victoria Distaci was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run offensively for Wesleyan (2-3).


North beats Central, Johnson

SUWANEE — North Gwinnett defeated Central Gwinnett 25-19, 25-13 and beat Johnson 25-15, 25-7 on Thursday.

Alex Panks had 22 assists and eight aces, while Christina Stinson contributed 11 kills and three aces. Virginia Hannah and Michelle DeMaris each had six aces for North (11-1).

Collins Hill defeats Grayson, Mountain View

LAWRENCEVILLE — Collins Hill defeated Grayson 25-2, 26-24, 25-22 and beat Mountain View 25-8, 25-14 on Thursday.

Katherine Ahlswede contributed seven digs, five kills and had 47 assists, Kelly Carelson helped with 12 kills, and Erin Ensley totaled eight aces and 11 digs for the Eagles. Sarah Stone had 15 digs and Liz Topoleski helped with nine digs for Collins Hill (9-5).

Grayson splits

LAWRENCEVILLE — Grayson improved to 6-2 overall after beating Mountain View 25-13, 25-14 but falling to Collins Hill 27-25, 24-26, 22-25 on Thursday.

Shenise Howard totaled 12 kills, three blocks with 14 assists. Grace Basile had 10 kills, seven aces and three blocks, while Alex Daniel totaled 21 digs for the Rams (6-2).

Wesleyan splits

LILBURN — Wesleyan fell to St. Pius (25-20, 25-22) but beat Parkview (25-18, 25-17) on Thursday.

Maggie Smith totaled six kills, eight digs and 41 assists, while Grace Leah Baughn helped with 25 kills and nine digs for the Wolves (2-6).

Central loses two

SUWANEE — Central fell to North Gwinnett (25-19, 25-13) and Chamblee (25-13, 25-15) on Thursday.

Mill Creek tops Dacula, West Forsyth

HOSCHTON — Mill Creek beat Dacula 26-24, 25-11 and West Forsyth 25-18, 18-25, 27-25 on Thursday to improve to 4-4 overall.

Hebron takes wins over Buford, Brookwood

BUFORD — Hebron defeated Buford 19-25, 25-18, 25-21 and beat Brookwood 18-25, 25-18, 25-20 on Thursday.

Elise Murray had 15 kills and four blocks, Maddi Roof helped with 13 kills, Courtney Bishop totaled nine kills and eight aces, Eden Murray helped with 12 assists and Savannah Blalock had 15 assists for the Lions.

For Buford, Maggie Roper had 17 kills and 11 digs, Jessica Falletta totaled eight kills and six aces and Liz Darden helped with 29 digs. Nancy Mattox finished with three blocks and six kills, while Jenna Falletta had 21 assists for the Wolves.

Brookwood splits

BUFORD — Brookwood fell to Hebron 18-25, 25-18, 25-20 and beat Buford 25-19, 20-25, 25-23 on Thursday afternoon.

Erin Webb totaled 11 kills, three aces and two digs, Bethany Easom had 26 assists, three aces and three digs, while Erin Shelton had nine kills, five aces and three digs for the Broncos (6-3).

Dacula loses two

HOSCHTON — Dacula fell to Mill Creek 26-24, 25-11 and lost to West Forysth 25-17, 25-15 on Thursday.

Providence splits

JOHNS CREEK — Providence fell to Our Lady of Mercy 25-9, 25-20 but beat Mt. Pisgah 25-16, 25-13 on Thursday afternoon.

Kaitlin Harper totaled four kills and three blocks, with Emily Schoone helping with five kills and two blocks for Providence (4-3).
