From Staff Reports
BUFORD — The Rotary Club of Buford/North Gwinnett will hold its second annual “Pound Out Polio” 5K this weekend, helping to fund a number of community-minded service projects. In addition to helping further Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio, the 5K will also benefit a number of other programs, like Gwinnett Great Days of Service, the Salvation Army’s Santa’s Helpers and the Littlest Reader, which helps Gwinnett County Public Libraries present new parents in the county with a gift book and invitation to register for a free library card. This year’s race will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday in historic downtown Buford. Runners may register online at www.active.com or download a registration form at www.pop5k.com. Race day registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. and will be $25. For more information on the Rotary Club of Buford/North Gwinnett, visit www.northgwinnettrotary.org.More like this story
