ROSWELL -- Roswell police tracked down a woman Wednesday that Gwinnett sheriff's deputies had been in search of for several months.
Suzy Lugo, 30, was charged with one count of aggravated cruelty to animals and three counts of animal cruelty in March, when sheriff deputies serving an eviction found a gruesome scene.
Entering the Ashley Lakes Drive apartment in Norcross, deputies found two starving Bullmastiff dogs, an emaciated cat and the partially devoured body of another cat -- eaten in an effort by the other animals to survive, officials said then.
Lugo, a veterinary technician in recent years, was not home that day.
Thursday, Roswell police found her holed up at a Studio Six Extended Stay hotel there, sheriff's department spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais said.
Lugo is being held at Gwinnett County Jail on no bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
