Gwinnett Daily Post
According to your article on the Grabers’ eviction (“Officials: Duluth woman Tased during four-hour standoff, Aug. 13, Page 1A), it was stated that Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway “backed the action of his deputies.”
There was no indication that the Grabers were dangerous and there was no reason to use SWAT tactics, including a Taser. Are we expected to support this type of law enforcement action with our tax dollars? It is time to remove the SWAT team from the sheriff and give the responsibility to the Gwinnett police. This could be done using the budget process. — Earl Conabee DuluthMore like this story
