DULUTH -- Gwinnett Place Mall will celebrate a big birthday with a blast from the past.

The Duluth area mall will host a '60s-themed party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Simon Malls, the company that manages the shopping mecca.

The party includes songs, games and activities for kids, as well as a TV and pop culture trivia game about the '60s for parents.

The afternoon will include a costume contest for all the "groovy guests" who come dressed in their spiffiest '60s attire.

Scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 21, the party is free for Simon Kidgits Club members. Those who are not members can join for an annual $5 membership fee.
