WINDER -- A Winder family of five was displaced Monday afternoon when a truck crashed into their home, officials said.
No injuries were reported in the 2:20 p.m. collision, but the Dodge pickup caused significant damage to the 174 Matthew School Road home, said Barrow County Emergency Services spokesman Lt. Scott Dakin.
Firefighters and utility workers shut power and gas off to the residence while a wrecker was called to remove the vehicle, Dakin said.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family, Dakin said.
