LOGANVILLE -- A young boy was airlifted to Egleston Children's Hospital in stable condition after a bicycle accident Monday night.
Gwinnett County firefighters responded to the 4600 block of Grove Lake Street in unincorporated Loganville about 7:15 p.m., finding the boy, believed to be nine years old, conscious, alert and breathing, spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.
The child sustained a serious injury, Rutledge said, but do to patient privacy laws, no further details were released.
Rutledge wasn't sure of the exact nature of the incident, but said he didn't believe the victim was struck by a car.
"To my knowledge there was no vehicle involved at all," he said.
