Claude (Poppa) Sutton age 87 of Lawrenceville, GA was born and raised in Haywood County, North Carolina. He served his beloved country in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma Sutton, sister, Doris Skillington, Waynesville, NC and brother, Howard Sutton, Ridgecrest, CA. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Stella (Moore) Sutton, children, Danny Sutton, David Sutton, Fonda Jones all of Lawrenceville and Darlene Coward, Snellville, GA; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Sutton, Hazelwood, NC. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 6, 2010 in Eternal Hills Chapel with Rev. Darden Shadrack officiating. Interment, Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, August 5th, 6 to 8 pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Snellville, GA 770-972-3155.
