DULUTH -- Leading up to the most prestigious tournament in all of bass fishing, set to take place this weekend on Lake Lanier, fans of the sport can swap stories with fishing pros during an event at a Duluth business.
Rick Hendrick Chevrolet at Gwinnett Place will host FLW Tour pros Luke Clausen, Anthony Gagliardi, Dion Hibdon, Jimmy Houston, Dave Lefebre, Larry Nixon and Jay Yelas during a meet and greet event beginning at 6 p.m. today. Fans can snag autographs and photos with the pros, while registering to win prizes including a Ranger boat and a hospitality fishing trip with Chevy pro Jimmy Houston.
The dealership is at 3277 Satellite Blvd. and the event is free and open to the public.
Following today's meet and greet Gwinnett residents can head out on the water to test the latest equipment available from Lowrance. Demonstrations will be given from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Fishing enthusiasts can also test the latest Evinrude outboards and the Yamaha V Max Sho on Lake Lanier from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Registrations for these events, which are free and open to the public, can be completed Laurel Park, 3100 Old Cleveland Highway in Gainesville, by calling 770-535-8280.
Car enthusiasts and those shopping for a new ride can test drive Chevy vehicles from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Gwinnett Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
