Tombstone Blu-ray (R)
Movie: 3 1/2 out of 4 stars
Disc: 3 out of 4 stars
To some "Tombstone" might not be the definitive of the many versions of Wyatt Earp and the showdown at the O.K. Corral, but it is easily the most visceral and well-acted. Kurt Russell as Earp, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday and supporting turns from Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Dana Delany, Jason Priestley, Michael Biehn and Charlton Heston take a familiar tale and lend this production considerable muscle and wallop. The special features aren't anything special but the video overhaul of the not-so-great master print is splendid and ideal for the Blu-ray format.
Technical specs: aspect ratio: Full screen (1080p/2.35:1), audio: English, (5.1 DTS-HD Master), French and Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0) subtitles: English SDH, French and Spanish.
Special features include:
* Three featurettes
* Storyboards
* Trailers and TV spots
(Disney, $29.99)
