Mr. James Carlton J. C. Eubanks, age 73, of Flowery Branch, GA died Sunday evening at 8:40 p.m. in Cumming, GA from complications related to lung cancer when he went home to be with his Savior. He is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Riser, Jersey, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Diane Eubanks, Tucker, GA and Gary and Geri Eubanks, Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Teresa Williams, Tatum Eubanks, Amberly Jones, Phillip Eubanks, and Michael Eubanks; great grandson, Wyatt Williams; sisters, Irene Eubanks Franklin, Carnesville, GA, Annie Louise Eubanks Hayes, Hiram, GA and Grace Lamar Eubanks Duren, Carnesville, GA; brother, William Robert Eubanks, Sugar Hill, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Eubanks was born April 3, 1937 in Tucker, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Shortly after leaving the Navy in July of 1957, Mr. Eubanks started and continued to operate a successful electrical contracting company from that time until his death. Mr. Eubanks also had a gift and passion for reclaiming and restoring show automobiles. He was a Mason and a member of the Clarkston Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Atlanta Street Rod Club. He attended Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA. James Carlton Eubanks was wed to Ann Beatrice Eubanks on July 20, 1957. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Drive, Cumming, GA 30041 in memory of James Carlton Eubanks.
