LOGANVILLE -- With the garden in bloom, volunteers with the Vines Garden Railroad will start the engine.
After a winter renovation, the model train set will open May 8 at Vines Gardens, located at 3500 Oak Grove Road in Loganville, officials said.
This year, the model features 1,000 feet of track, 25 feet of bridges, tunnels and viaducts, an airport, towns and villages in the beautiful garden setting.
The volunteers added that kids would love a visit to see Thomas the Tank Engine with Annie and Clarabel.
The exhibit will be open each Sunday this summer, excluding holidays and rainy days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Volunteers will also open the exhibit for birthday parties, school field trips or other special occasions. To make an appointment, e-mail vinesrr@bellsouth.net or call 770-554-9697.
