Wesleyan's Collins, Keappler sign with volleyball programs
Wesleyan seniors Haley Collins and Anna Keappler have signed letters of intent to play volleyball at the college level. Collins is headed to UNC-Wilmington and Keappler is bound for Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. The two standouts helped the Wolves to 190 wins, four area titles and three state championships during their careers. Their signings mark the first time in the dominant Wesleyan program's history that two seniors have signed with college programs in the same year. Archer names McKee new volleyball head coach Archer announced former Peachtree Ridge assistant coach Jamie McKee as its new head volleyball coach on Tuesday. McKee has coached the past three seasons at Peachtree Ridge, where she also was a special education teacher. She is a graduate of Dacula and Columbus State. Prep Rally to feature Brookwood-Parkview soccer Gwinnett Prep Rally, a Gwinnett County high school sports TV program, airs baseball highlights of North Gwinnett-Mill Creek and Brookwood-South Gwinnett as well as soccer highlights from Parkview-Brookwood girls and boys on this week's show. Featured athletes include North Gwinnett's Nick Jones, Brookwood's Seth Schutter and Brookwood's Daniel Mohsen. Gwinnett Prep Rally, hosted by Daily Post editor Todd Cline and sports editor Will Hammock, airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on GCPS-TV and each Wednesday-Friday at 7:30 a.m., 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on GCPS-TV.
