NEW YORK -- A New York judge has sentenced Michael Douglas' son to five years in prison on drug charges, calling it his ''last chance to make it.''

Federal Judge Richard Berman announced the sentence Tuesday after hearing Cameron Douglas apologize and admit that he had squandered a lot of opportunities to turn his life around.

The judge said earlier that he did not have confidence that Douglas would turn his back on drugs after pleading guilty in January to drug charges.

The troubled 31-year-old son of the Academy Award-winning actor admitted to dealing methamphetamine and cocaine. He had faced a 10-year term.

'Octomom' tells Oprah she won't do reality TV

CHICAGO -- Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman said being known as ''Octomom'' makes her feel like a ''carnival attraction.''

Appearing on ''The Oprah Winfrey Show'' Tuesday, the mother of 14 children told Winfrey that she will never do a reality television show and that ''a parent must provide for their kids, not the other way around.''

Last June, Suleman's lawyer said she had signed a deal to star in a reality TV series to be filmed by a Netherlands-based production company.

Suleman gave birth to six boys and two girls in January 2009. The oldest of her six other children is eight.

Cirque to put on show based on Michael Jackson

LOS ANGELES -- First the Beatles and Elvis, now Michael Jackson.

The acrobatic troupe Cirque du Soleil announced Tuesday that it will put on a live touring show featuring the songs of the King of Pop starting late next year.

That will be followed by a permanent production in Las Vegas in 2012 at a property owned by MGM Mirage Inc. The casino company did not say which venue will host the show. A nightclub in Las Vegas will also open with the show.

Cirque and Jackson's estate will each own 50 percent of the project and share equally in the cost of putting it on. The estate will also receive royalties from the use of Jackson's music and other assets.

Jackson's mother, Katherine, said in a statement, ''Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.''
