NORCROSS -- A task force bent on eradicating Georgia's child porn trade uncovered damning videos in a Norcross man's home Wednesday, officials said.

John Holstein, 49, is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of children after investigators served a search warrant on his Hallbrook Drive home and found child porn on a computer, authorities said.

Holstein remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.

John Bankhead, Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman, said investigators tracked an IP address to Holstein's home after he was observed sharing images of alleged child porn in peer-to-peer groups online.

Agents with the GBI's high technology investigations unit task force found Holstein in possession of numerous movie files, Bankhead said.

According to Georgia Secretary of State records, Holstein is a licensed pharmacist. The allegations have no connection to his employment, Bankhead said.

A probable cause hearing for Holstein is scheduled Thursday in Gwinnett Magistrate Court.

The task force made 109 arrests in 2008 and another 164 arrests last year, Bankhead said.

This investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the federal Internet crimes against children task force to identify anyone involved in the child porn trade.

The U. S. Department of Justice program was developed in response to the increasing number of youngsters using the Internet, the proliferation of child pornography and heightened activity by online predators, Bankhead said.
