LAWRENCEVILLE -- A 69-year-old Lawrenceville man is facing three counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of indecent exposure stemming from incidents involving two neighborhood girls, police said.
The victims, one 10 years old and the other 7, told police that Antonio Sanchez-Garcia of 2180 Duck Hollow Trace had exposed himself to them several times, Gwinnett County police spokesman Officer Brian Kelly said.
The initial victim reported this to another neighbor, a Duluth police officer, and also told that officer that Sanchez-Garcia had done the same to another girl in the neighborhood.
The second girl, Kelly said, told Gwinnett County police that the suspect had exposed himself to her 10 times, and had touched her groin when she was in the suspect's house.
The 10-year-old victim also reported that Sanchez-Garcia "stares at her a lot and that he sometimes follows her sister and her when they ride bikes."
Both girls know members of Sanchez-Garcia's extended family, police said.
Due to the health information privacy restrictions, Kelly couldn't comment on whether mental health is believed to be a factor in this case.
Sanchez-Garcia was booked into Gwinnett County jail April 8, and will appear in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court on Friday.
