LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Chick-fil-A at 680 Duluth Highway in Lawrenceville will shut down after the close of business on Saturday.
But fear not, those who want to "eat mor chikin." The store will only be closed temporarily for remodeling, operator Mark Treadwell said.
The restaurant is scheduled to reopen May 6, Treadwell said.
"We're going to gut the inside of the store," he said. "All the dining area will be completely taken out and redone."
Treadwell said a double drive-through will be installed, and the front entrance to the parking lot will be closed, while the back will be widened.
Treadwell said he'll still be taking catering orders while the store is closed. To place an order, call the restaurant on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road at 770-932-5797.
As for the employees, Treadwell said some will take time off, and others will be sent to other stores temporarily.
"We're trying to take care of everybody to make sure we're meeting their needs," he said.
