BUFORD - Lanier Middle School and its PTSA have organized the first Lanier Longhorn Athletic Association Golf Tournament.

The golf tournament, scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Oct. 12 at the Sugar Hill Golf Club, will raise money to purchase new uniforms for the middle school sports teams, which are now known as the Longhorns. A portion of the funds raised will go to the Lanier High School Athletic Association. Lanier High School is scheduled to open next summer.

Sponsorships are available at the following levels:

· Longhorn Legacy Sponsorship - $2,500

Legacy sponsorships are only available for the inaugural tournament, and the name will be listed as a sponsor in all future tournaments. Sponsorship includes a logo and link from the Lanier Middle School Web site, a sign at the hole of the sponsor's choice during the tournament and a team of four golfers.

· Birdie Sponsorship - $1,500

Sponsorship includes a logo and link from the Lanier Middle School Web site, a sign at the hole of the golfer's choice during the tournament and a team of four golfers.

· Par Sponsorship - $1,000

Sponsorship includes a logo and link from the Lanier Middle School Web site, a sign displayed along the course during the tournament and a team of four golfers.

· Team Sponsor - $500

Sponsorship includes a sign displayed along the course during the tournament and a team of four golfers.

· Hole Sponsorship - $100

Sponsorship includes a company sign displayed along the course during the tournament.

· Individual Golfer - $100

The tournament is limited to 88 golfers, so reservations are required.
