SNELLVILLE - Emory Eastside Medical Center will host a community health screening from 8 until 10 a.m. Thursday.
The screenings, which will take place in classrooms No. 1 and 2, will include fasting blood sugar ($3.80), cholesterol ($5), and a total lipid profile and cardiac risk factors ($17.80). Officials said those planning to be screened must fast beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, taking in no more than a sip of water for prescribed medications. No appointment is necessary, but participants should remember to bring their physician's name, address and ZIP code and to wear short sleeves. In order to be screened, a person must be at least 18 years old. A copy of the results will be mailed directly to participants and their physicians at no extra charge. The screening is open to the public.More like this story
