LAWRENCEVILLE - A Buford teen's wish came true even before he blew out the candles on his birthday cake, when he won cash from the Georgia Lottery. Thomas Zimbelman, who turns 20 Saturday, won $77,777 in the instant game Super Lucky 7's. In a press release, Zimbelman said he woke up, bought the ticket and "got lucky." "I was at the store in my car when I scratched it," he said. "I checked it about 10 times to make sure." The game has prizes of up to $777,777. "This is a very good, early birthday present," Zimbelman said, adding that he had not yet made plans for his winnings. Wee-Willy's Food Store, 1875 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Buford, sold the lucky ticket.
