Ethel Winifred Terhune Wales, our Mom, born to Lucy and Abram Terhune on January 21, 1907 in Hawthorne, NJ, and married to Robert Anderson Wales of Totowa, NJ, with whom she raised four adoring children-Robert A. Wales, Virginia Wales Humphrey, Linda Wales Giambra, and Roger A. Wales-in Glen Rock, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2009 in Boca Raton, Florida. Mom is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. "Queenie", as she was affectionately known to family and friends, truly had a wonderful life filled with kindness and love for all who knew her. Chief telephone operator and supervisor, seamstress, interior decorator, and hostess "par excellence!"...always with a cheerful greeting and a helping hand to all. Mom loved her family and friends. Ethel, our Mom, traveled her 102 plus years with a style that will always be remembered for its determined dedication to her family, her friends, and her Lord. Her service to the Gold Coast Shrine club of Deerfield Beach, Florida, and long ago, to the Green Pond Yacht Club, Green Pond, NJ was cherished by all their members. Ethel will be missed for her inspirational good cheer, and radiant smile by all her friends at Edgewater Pointe Estates in Boca Raton, Florida. So, let's all celebrate her long life, and give thanks for having known, and been guided by Ethel, our good as there ever could be. There will be a celebration of Mom's life at a service on Saturday, October 3rd, at 11AM at Edgewater Pointe Estates Chapel, Boca Raton, Florida. Interment will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, GA. on November 21st at 11AM. Mom-Mom, as all her grandchildren, and great-granchildren knew her, was extremely proud and supportive of her grandson Billy's work in establishing 24/7 prayer in Atlanta. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his church, Intrernational House of Prayer, 1625 Collins Hill Road, Lawrenceville, GA. 30043
