DULUTH - NCR Corp. announced Thursday it would house its corporate headquarters at Satellite Place 700 in the Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District less than a mile from its current facility located at Boggs Road and Satellite Boulevard.
NCR announced in June it would be relocating to Duluth from Dayton, Ohio, and bringing 1,250 jobs with it. The company makes ATM machines, self-service kiosks and checkout terminals.
The announcement that NCR would occupy the six-story, 120,000-square-foot facility located near the Gwinnett Place Mall was welcomed by Gwinnett Place CID Director Joe Allen.
"It's great for Partnership Gwinnett, and NCR's decision is a great win for Gwinnett County and Gwinnett Place in particular, reflecting the area's prominence and strategic location," Allen said. "We are greatly encouraged by NCR's commitment to and presence in our area, and we look forward to assisting them with their ongoing success."
Allen said the Partnership Gwinnett economic development initiative was instrumental in attracting NCR's attention to Gwinnett Place and coordinating efforts at local and state levels to encourage the company's relocation.
